Lunchly – History, Popularity, and Its Doom
Think of an idea for a healthy lunch that comes together in minutes. No, we don’t mean another tasteless green salad or a protein bar, which actually consists of more sugar than protein itself. We’re talking about Lunchly — a fresh and fun grab-and-go kit. Or at least, something that was supposed to be so.
When it comes to preparing lunch, we always try to cook something simple yet tasty and satisfying, considering no one wants cooking to take a lot of time. Creating Lunchly was supposed to end this problem, but things did not go as the brand planned initially, and it didn’t end up being what it was planned to become.

In this article, we will discuss Lunchly’s history, its variations, and how the brand went down.
History of Lunchly
For those who don’t know, Lunchly is a brand that produces different kinds of lunch kits that contain certain snacks and drinks. The idea for this brand belongs to three YouTubers named Logan Paul, Jimmy “Mr. Beast” Donaldson, and Olajide “KSI” Olatunji. They promoted the brand on social media platforms like YouTube and TikTok and gained a lot of recognition starting from September 2024.
However, it’s hard to say that the original idea belongs to these people — after all, Lunchly is almost identical to another product called Kraft Heinz’s Lunchables. Of course, they became competitors since the day Lunchly arrived, and people all over the internet started comparing these two products.
Not surprisingly, the majority of the audience received Lunchly’s products negatively. Even more, Lunchly even reached a point where people started joking that they had better chances of winning a jackpot at online casinos like Stake.com than getting satisfying food from Lunchly. Simply put, eating Lunchly’s products feels almost like gambling with your life for many people.
Products Included
Lunchy’s lunch kits usually consist of three ingredients. The one among them that instantly grabbed attention is indeed Prime drinks – specific types of sports energy drinks created by Paul and Olarunji. They are often compared to Icee Cereal or Pepsi Blue because of the blue raspberry flavor and the color it gives to the drink. The kits also include chocolate bars made for Lunchly by the brand Donaldson.
Currently, Lunchly has three versions of snack kits:
- “The Pizza” – It’s definitely the most popular snack option. Even though it includes only some simple ingredients, such as tomato sauce, cheese, and pepperoni, customers quickly adored this product and enjoyed creating their own pizza. This kit also includes a Prime drink, which is Cherry Freeze in this case, and the Feastables Milk Crunch Bar (a snack you’ll adore if you like the taste and crunch of the Crispy Crunch Bar).
- “Fiesta Nachos” – The second product is a combination of nacho chips with queso blanco cheese and salsa as dipping sauces. This time, a Prime bottle has the flavor of strawberry banana. And you also get a Milk Crunch Bar from Feastables.
- “Turkey Snack ‘Ems” – This one consists of turkey, a cheese set, crackers (often Zesta Crackers), an Ice Pop Prime beverage, and, of course, a Feastables Milk Chocolate Bar – customers’ favorite.
If you’re familiar with Lunchables, you’d have noticed that all these menus are almost similar to its usual menu: Pizza with Pepperoni, Nachos with Cheese Dip and Salsa, and Turkey and American Cheese Cracker Stackers. Of course, this caused quite a reaction from society.
Reception and Criticism
Lunchly received a lot of criticism and negativity from the majority of customers who have tried these lunch kits. Many questioned the food’s nutritional composition and doubted if it would be safe for children at all. Many social media figures have given this brand negative reviews. One of them was a YouTuber called DanTDM, who mentioned on Twitter that Lunchly’s food was of poor quality and would put kids’ health in danger.
Other YouTubers who criticized Lunchly include Zeltik, iBallisticSquid, Rosanna Pansino, and Doctor Mike. They consider the food unsafe to be introduced to the younger audience and are concerned about the motivation of the whole brand. In response, KSI suggested that all this hate is not towards the brand and food, but its creators, referring to himself, Paul, and Donaldson.
Health Concerns
Complaints about the quality of Lunchly’s food increase every day. A lot of people reported that they are worried that these products might cause certain illnesses. The main issue is cheese, which is often found in a drippy state and not fresh. Rosanna Pasino even mentioned she found mold on the cheese while eating the pizza-style kit.
These reports raise suspicions about the safety of Lunchly’s food, especially for children.
Bottom Line
While the number of Lunchly’s users is unknown, it still reaches high levels of popularity thanks to marketing. The purpose of this brand is something that concerns many, but these reports seriously make society question whether they should purchase its lunch kits or not. Either way, now that you’re aware of Lunchly’s story, you may judge the product for yourself. But do so with caution — both for your health and your expectations.
