A fun fact about the marketing of Galaxy. At one time, it was actually marketed using an image of Audrey Hepburn. This was in 2013 so it was just an image but the same commercial also used the song Moon River and it was a big hit. 

The Galaxy line also has the Galaxy Bubble candy bar made from aerated chocolate and it’s been a popular choice as well.

They were founded in California, USA and continue to have their primary headquarters in California. The name for the brand came from the original founder, who was Domingo Ghirardelli. 

The brand is owned by a Swiss company known as Lindt & Sprungli. That company was founded by Domingo Ghirardelli when he moved to the USA from South America. This is the 3rd oldest chocolate company in the United States. The only two with more years are Whitman’s and Baker’s Chocolate companies.
